  • 'Can do' attitude and teamwork achieves debut research first

    North Devon nurses recruited the first patient in the country to an NIHR-funded study using text messaging with the aim of reducing sexually transmitted infections in young people. This achievement was all the more remarkable because it was a research study debut for this Northern Devon Healthcare NHS Trust team of nurses and health advisers based in a city centre walk in treatment centre.

  • Growing up - CRN Children at 10

The European Union introduced its Paediatric Regulation, which meant that any company developing a drug for adults was legally obliged to consider how it could be developed for children. It’s no coincidence that two years earlier, the NIHR introduced its Medicines for Children Research Network (MCRN).
